MC² MSCA
Overview
What is the MC² Marie Curie Coaching Programme?
MC² aims to match hosts from Brandenburg’s research institutions with highly qualified international postdocs
who want to apply for a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions Postdoctoral Fellowship. The programme actively
supports candidates throughout the entire application process through:
- Two proposal checks before submission with 1:1 feedback to review and refine your proposal
- An online workshop focused on the application documents, evaluation process, and tips and tricks. We will also delve into the research proposal itself, exploring the three main elements – Excellence, Impact and Implementation.
- If your project is accepted, support in acquiring a visa, work permit, etc.
In 2025, we submitted 10 European Fellowship applications and 1 Global Fellowship application.
What is an MSCA European Postdoctoral Fellowship?
An MSCA-PF is meant to support the creative and innovative potential of postdoctoral researchers wishing to acquire new skills through advanced training, international, interdisciplinary, and intersectoral mobility. The European PF is open to researchers moving within or coming to Europe from abroad. For the purpose of the MC² Programme, fellowships must take place at an EUK member institution in the Brandenburg region of Germany and can last between 1 to 2 years.
What does the funding cover?
Projects from all research fields and scientific disciplines can be funded. Fellows are granted monthly allowances
for living expenses, mobility, and if necessary, for family, long-term leave, and special needs. Funding is also
provided for research, training and networking activities, as well as administrative and indirect costs.
